The Bell Tower

[..], as one of the best expert on Medieval architecture of Dalmatia, T.G. Jackson was hired to complete the construction of the bell tower of the Romanesque cathedral of St Anastasia in Zadar. The bell tower was finished in December 1893, and it is his only architectural work in Croatia. Otherwise, ground floor and first floor of the bell tower were built in 1452 (during Archbishop Vallaresso), while the upper floors were built from 1890 to 1894 by English architect and art historian Sir Thomas Graham Jackson, based on the model of the bell tower of the cathedral in Rab.[..]

A few images from last weekend while in Hellevloetsluis. A beautiful marina with calm water created the perfect opportunity for some nice sunset shots. And a special for you: the lighthouse is a bonus πŸ˜‰

Pathway to Plitvice

Plitvice is an amazing natural park in Croatia. Full of spectacular waterfalls and pristine water, it is a delight to walk through even if you have to share it with many thousand others πŸ™‚
The park contains lots of well maintained pathways such as the boardwalk you can see here. The light shines through the trees and penetrates the water to reveal the colors hidden up until then. What a marvel to behold πŸ™‚

Walking in the forest at the end of the day
Worries of work and life have to give way
For what can withstand the stillness?
If only there is a tiny bit of willingness
To listen and to see without the senses

The trunk

Only being there as the dance advances
Heart to heart with the flowers and trees
Both enjoying the chilling warm breeze
With the sunlight touching the landscape
Highlighting beauty of various size and shape

World Full of Clouds

Can’t resist posting another image by my parents and enhanced a bit by me. Last year there were these strangely shaped clouds. I only heard about them on the news, but my parents saw them and used the new camera to catch the phenomena on camera. The upper picture is upside down but i think it looks amazing. I’m no cloud-o-logic but these are pretty rare and wonderful strange clouds no doubt πŸ™‚

Below is the original image, if you don’t want to wreck your neck too much πŸ˜‰

have a lovely weekend all!
Blessing to you πŸ™‚

Golden music

Two swans close together in the late evening light. They had a youngster with them which was chased away occasionally, but was allowed to stay close nonetheless. Beautiful reflection in the water reminded me of musical notes. Tsjaikovski close by πŸ™‚
