Forest Painting

While making this image i had to think of the work of Cybele – The Runes of the Gatekeeper’s Daughter, who makes beautiful images full of fantasy and lore.

So let’s make this into a small tribute πŸ™‚ This one is for you Cybele!

21: All clear

Soon all will be clear
Bare trees remind of the fact
We’re all born naked

Stretching our being
Branching into ground and air
Longing warmth and food

Sheltering within
The ever presence of mom
As we learn and grow

Independence calls
Us to grow to great new heights
Let mom and dad go

The cycle goes on
Each new family member
Is like a small tree

Finally we reach
For the top of the forest
Seeing miles ahead

Our destiny clear
One day we’re naked again
Waiting for our death

Pretty Woman

Pretty woman, walking down the street
Pretty woman, the kind I like to meet
Pretty woman
I don’t believe you, you’re not the truth
No one could look as good as you

Going Forth

For now a small break from the writing with images as i notice i like to share some photos too. This one was taken back in 2013. It was very impressive to stand in front of the Forth railway bridge near Edinburgh back in 2013. Such an amazing sight. And then to think it’s over a century old. I tried to create a bit of a mood in this picture. Really worked with the light and the contrast here, to emphasize the bridge and the clouds.

Moving Sunset

I was in the mood today for some editing. This image is totally different from the original. In the front were some trees standing and on the right there was a bit of reflection from the window of the train i was traveling in while making this image. So i played with the image, added blur and changed quite a few settings before i realized the original image was almost gone. Only in the middle there still remains a part of the original image. As the train was moving, the trees began to blur. This was the part which helped me to start this small project. Very abstract and dark, but i think it looks pretty cool πŸ™‚
