Mostly photography, with the occasional philosophical contemplation

Wooldsche Veen

Went for a stroll this weekend and came home with a few nice results. This image is taken in a bog close to the border with Germany. The pathway is heightened so you wont get wet feet. Most of the time it’s very quiet in there, creating an atmosphere of solitude and peace. Very lovely bog with quite some rare species.

View From Up High

When we flew back from Croatia the sky was very clear, so we had this magnificent view over parts of Europe. Here are a few shots. First shot is Antwerp Harbor, second is the Maas river, third one is the city of Bergen op Zoom, the fourth one is a part of Germany and the fifth and six image are both from the Alps

Happy Tree Friends

Bokeh Shrooms zoom

A type of mushrooms growing against a decaying birch tree with the forest in the background. The image is a bit darkened, so that the bokeh/trees in the background come to live.

Thanks for all the comments on my previous post πŸ™‚ Really nice to read your replies and thanks for stopping by. That’s what makes blogging so much fun to do! And ofcourse i do enjoy the process of photographing and creating too, don’t worry πŸ˜‰

House at the lake

House at the lake

Which is not really a house, but a restaurant in the middle of a European oriented wildlife park near Anholt in Germany. It is based on Switserland, i must say they did a good job at recreating that feeling. Have been in Switserland and it really looks like the houses there.
