Yesterday i was at the childrens farm. I decided not to take my Canon Eos with me, since i wanted to relax a bit and focus on the voluntary work instead of only taking pictures. But as i made my round through the place, i noticed a few nice spots and so i got out the smartphone to have a bit of smartphun. When i came home i knew i wanted to give all these images a little extra, just for the fun of it. Seeing Bob Ross the other week sure did help in the exploration lol. My personal favorite is the sketchy image of willows with oak leaves in the front. I should actually practice painting, since these kind of landscapes are amazing to paint (i imagine lol). Below this image are a few more pictures i took and edited. All together i spend about 20 minutes photographing and for the rest of the time i enjoyed petting and feeding the animals and the childrens farm. Always nice to be there, it always cheers me up 🙂
My entry for this week’s Monochrome Madness as hosted by Leanne Cole at http://leannecole.com.au/blog
After seeing Mitza’s beautiful painting i couldn’t resist creating some ‘drawings’ myself, while using phtoos of the city of Deventer only.
Tried a lot of different layers and effects, which was fun to do. It is incredible how sophisticated today’s software is.. i wish you all an inspiring and creative weekend!
Would like to thank Laura Macky for providing me with the idea for the Twirls on her website http://www.lauramacky.com
As it’s almost a year since i’ve started this blog, i thought it would be a good idea to post some of my own favorites from the early days. I’ve created a random gallery, let me know what is your personal favorite. Also if you think i should’ve added another photograph..
Also i’ll be off to France to work as a volunteer for a week starting this sunday, so i’ll probably won’t blog during next week. But i’ll take my camera with me, so hopefully i can show you guys some nice pictures of France!!
In retrospect, i’m glad i started this blog. I’ve learned so much about photography. I started the blog not knowing what to do with it and here i am one year later with so much new blogs to follow, people who have inspired me and continue to do so. So i cannot emphasize enough that you have helped me climbing out of a deep hole, by being here as this blog progresses.. I wish you all the best!
