This is an overview of the said childrens farm from where i’ve been making lots of pictures. As the rain subsided i went outside and made 5 (horizontal shots) times 3 (for hdr) times 2 (bottom and top layer) = 30 photo’s to create this panorama. Lot of editing work, but the result really made it worthwhile 🙂
Though it may look scary, it’s actually a curious and friendly species of chicken.. found this one at the Children’s farm where i did my shift today
A silkie at the childrens farm, beautiful species. This one endured the rain like nothing was happening 🙂
A youngster chicken at the children’s farm. They’re bred inside the shed before they can join their elders. Really cute little *peep*ers 🙂
Since last week 20 of my images are in an exposition at the office i work in Deventer. Very cool to see all these images come alive. As i could do the selection, i choose a variety of work. Some edited with photoshop and others from the time i first started to really do photographing. Wanted to show you ladies and gentlemen the photographs. The above image is the actual setting. Below is a gallery with all 20 photographs. You may recognize some of them, as i’ve posted them before.
Let me know what you think of the collection 🙂
This female peacock grew up with chickens on the children’s farm. She really has to learn that she’s not one of them. Her male companion is more of a lonely wolf, but she stays with the pack of chickens. Sometimes i wonder if she even knows. And then, the question is whether it really matters 🙂
Anyway, it inspired me to write a few haiku’s on the matter
In my ears softly
she said: I’m not a peacock
I’m just pretending
A bird’s love story;
Being a peacock made her
Chicken out on me
Like the ugly duck
This peacock has to learn that
She’s not a chicken
Today i was at the children’s farm, when my mother came and visit me. We strolled around a bit and we came across these beautiful chickens. With a nice orange color on her feathers, this one really stood out. Out of some 25 photo’s, i was very happy to find this one which really looks great.
ps. Thanks for all the likes and comments! Really helps me to get through this phase of unemployment and the dark days 🙂 We’ll get there, the flowers are growing again 🙂
