Speulderbos is a forest in the middle of the Netherlands. It is famous for its bended trees as they culled the straight trees in the past so the bended once could grow tall. Such an interesting place, even in winter. I hope to get back here in spring, then the forest floor is filled with forest hyacinths.
I was here with a friend for a hike and at in the afternoon the fog started to become more dense. Then we came across this patch of forest and i was struck by this sight..

Voor mij is dit het mooiste bos in Nederland. Doorheen onze talrijke fiets vakanties in Garderen hebben we dit enorme bos goed leren kennen én waarderen. Dat er hyacinten groeien in de lente is nieuw voor mij ! Mag ik je terloops ook het Hallerbos in Belgie aanbevelen om een echt, unieke hyacinten bloemen en kleur rijkdom aan te bieden ? https://www.hallerbos.be/
Wil hier zeker nog een keertje naar terug gaan als het lente is. Volgens mij is het dan helemaal genieten.
En van het Hallerbos heb ik wel eens wat foto’s gezien, dat ziet er ook prachtig uit met die paarse gloed op de bosbodem! Heb jij daar nog eigen werk van toevallig Dirk?

Trees tend to grow straight. That is except when they fall on and bend other trees. And when the need to grow in another direction to reach the light. The forest is a curious and interesting environment.
Yes, you are very right John. Nature finds it way to grow (or outgrow).
The forest can be magical, if i can reach that special mood and curiosity!
